Cassandra V: The Wolves

CASSANDRA V: THE WOLVES

After the big fight at the nightclub where Cassandra beat up the three jealous girls, her and her posse found a nice quite neighborhood bar to enjoy their evenings.  At least that’s what they thought; the name of the bar was called Wolf’s.  The bar wasn’t called wolves, it was called Wolf’s, suggesting the bar belonged to a wolf and lo and behold, it did.  Cassandra actually liked the bar a lot because everyone seemed to be on the same vibe, as in being a little amped on Chrystal Meth but at the same time everyone was mellow.

One night an extremely enigmatic man came into the bar who looked to be about sixty years old and yet all of the boys that came in with him that seemed to be in his posse were in their early twenties.  Cassandra and her group knew all of the drug crowd in the city but these characters were new.  The elderly man had sunglasses on even though it was nighttime and was dressed in leather shorts, a white tank top, a leather vest, and furs with actual animal heads still attached to them draped around his neck; he was quite a character indeed.  He pulled the same move that Cassandra often pulled when she entered a club.  He walked in past the entrance and immediately stopped, he surveyed the crowd as his posse of young men stood behind him, then seemed to choose a spot for them to ‘set up’ and headed for it.  Cassandra smiled at the similar behavior.  Cassandra wasn’t sure, but she thought the old man stared her down through his sunglasses as he paused on her crowd in his survey move but something felt different about this man.  Little did she know, he had completely stared her down and she was his complete reason for being there.  His name was Ramon.

Ramon had one goal in mind when he came to the bar that night and that was winning Cassandra’s favor.  Ramon wanted one thing and one thing only.  He wanted Cassandra to join his clan because her untapped talent to predict and discern the future would be the key to his clans’ future success.  He decided he would befriend the naïve creature and he had already created a plan.  He would use his most handsome and charismatic boy to win her heart and draw her into his circle.  She would be putty in his hands when her heart belonged to his boy.  All women fell for his number one boy, they didn’t have a chance.  Yes, Ramon would use his favorite weapon against women, he would use Jonathon.

Ramon finally made his way over to Cassandra and her group as the evening had went on and invited her and her friends to a small gathering.  Cassandra politely and happily accepted the invitation as a few of her group had already paired up with a few in his group and the evening showed promise for some pleasant fun on all sides.  Besides, for some reason Cassandra was attracted to the charms of the elderly Ramon, he seemed to give her some sort of fatherly support in his manner of conversation and the way he enveloped her with his concern in their short conversation.  She looked forward to the gathering.  And a gathering it was.

Ramon’s house was a short walk from the bar, in fact, it was almost kitty corner to the bar.  It was a large home that had a deceptive front.  From the outside it looked small but when you entered the house it was rather large and inviting with a huge fireplace in the front room that opened to a large dining room that was used in this case as an extension to the living room with just more couches.  The house seemed to be set up to entertain gatherings just such as this one.  Someone started music in the background that was set at a low volume as to not interrupt or deter any conversation and everyone was invited to sit or enjoy the surroundings.  People paired off and everyone was having a rather good time as an extremely handsome man entered the room.  Cassandra noticed him immediately as he noticed her.  He was carrying a large sterling silver tray that could hold a large pizza but on this tray there were lines of Chrystal Meth that was freely and ceremoniously offered to everyone at the gathering.  When the handsome man came to Cassandra with the tray she modestly indulged in one of the smaller lines on the tray as the young man seemed to pierce her soul with his stare.  He offered her another line from the tray in a hand gesture and she declined.  He then leaned close to her and whispered with his beautiful and supple pink lips almost touching her face as her heart seemed to stop, “Are you sure?”  She managed a slight, ‘yea’ as he leaned even closer and whispered in her ear, “My name’s Jonathon.”

Cassandra watched Jonathon walk away with the tray and couldn’t help but notice his muscular frame and his beautiful blond hair that seemed to frame his perfect face like a master stylist had designed it to do so.  And she couldn’t stop thinking about those pink lips that that velvet voice came through.  Jonathon himself, surprised by his own desire, couldn’t believe how beautiful and fresh Cassandra was.  He loved her porcelain skin and long blond hair but most of all it was the curve of her thighs and the small of her waist that he wanted to touch, wanted to pierce.  He had seen beautiful women before but something was definitely different about this Cassandra.  He would enjoy this assignment.  Ramon promised him a beauty but Cassandra had something else to offer.  He felt something for the first time in a long time.

All of a sudden Ramon shouted to the crowd in his gruff elderly voice and broke the spell that Cassandra seemed to be under, “Is everyone having a good time.”  There were sounds of agreement from everyone in the room.  Ramon continued, “Good, because I don’t want to have to call up Abaddon, Kali, or Lilith, because you know I will” as he looked at Cassandra and winked.  Cassandra was extremely puzzled at his statement and more so at his wink.  As Ramon let out a laugh that eventually turned guttural in its sound, she turned to a friend and said, “Who was he talking about when he said ‘calling up Kali and so and so’?”  Her friend responded, “Those are demons that his friends say he can call up.”  Cassandra was taken aback, “Oh really!?!”  Cassandra felt that now it was time to go.

At that moment the front door was opened and Steve walked in.  He stared straight at Cassandra as they locked eyes.  It was as if Cassandra could hear nor see anyone else in the house.  The only thing she saw was Steve standing there in the doorway with a disappointed look on his face.  He walked up to her and grabbed her hand and pulled her up from the couch.  As tall as he was he had to bend his face down to hers and told her in his own magical voice, “We’re leaving”.  She said okay as they walked out of the party which was actually a blessing on top of a blessing; one, she was reunited with Steve and two, she was done with Mister Demon ‘caller’.  Before they walked out, Cassandra told one of her posse, “I want everyone out of here now!  Mister Ramon and his demons can party without my people.  Make it happen.”

Cassandra and Steve went back to her place.  Steve explained he didn’t have a car, he seemed to have nothing, nothing but her heart; he had that completely.  As they say, she was ‘done’.

Cassandra called her regular cab driver to pick her and Steve up and they both went to her place.  She couldn’t believe Steve was there with her in her own apartment.  She loved him from the moment he said, ‘Sit down, talk to me’, and now he was here in her home.  He sat down as if he was totally comfortable and just started to watch her remove her coat.  Who was this man who seemed to knowingly touch every part of her being?  What was happening?  He smiled a large and warm smile and said, “You’re funny”.  She stared at him and said, “Why am I funny?”  “Because you are.  You act like you don’t know what’s happening and on some level I think you don’t.  But you know Cassandra, you always know.  That’s why creatures like Ramon are surrounding you and wanting to possess you and your skills…”  All of a sudden he jumped up and grabbed her and pulled her close and kissed her with a kiss that seemed to sink his tongue into her entire being.  She actually collapsed under the spell of his physical and mental affection as he held her up and continued to devour her and her soul.  He carried her to her bed and made passionate love to her until the sun came up which thankfully was only an hour away.  She didn’t know how much more she could have taken.

She lay there in the morning while he slept next to her and couldn’t help but stare at this man who owned her heart and soul.  She had waited her whole life for him to appear and now he had.  As she stared at his face he slowly opened his eyes and looked directly into her soul as usual and said, “Good morning Princess.”  “Good Morning.”  He grabbed her again and this time slowly devoured her body as she willingly gave his body everything it requested.  He then made love to her like he was an animal and she loved every second of his seeking his own pleasure through her vessel.  Again, she was done.

Suddenly, he stood up from the bed and told her he was leaving.  He had things to tend to.  She lay there in the bed physically spent as she stared at his majestic frame standing like an emperor while he put on his clothes like last night and this morning was just another day at the office.  She couldn’t even speak because of the thoughts rapidly going through her head.  Would she see him again?  How could she contact him?  Where was he going?  Where did he come from?  How did he know how to find her at Ramon’s?  Who was he?  He turned to her amidst her thoughts, “I come from our world, your world, you know who I am, you know what I am, you will remember.  Whenever you need me I will be there.  And one last thing, stay away from Ramon.”  She stared at him still not saying anything while dumbfounded that he had read her mind.  He bent down and kissed her on the forehead and then walked out of her life again.  She was completely done.

After laying in her bed for an hour or so with a dazed look on her face she realized she needed to get up out of her bed and her puddle of love and get back to Tammy’s.  She hadn’t seen Tammy in a few days so she had better check in with her current benefactor and friend, Tammy, also known as Mia.  Tammy was busy tending to her drug business when Cassandra arrived and gave Cassandra a big smile when she walked in.  Tammy noticed a change in her little protégé so she mentioned it immediately.  Cassandra confessed that she had seen Steve again and this time he had come home to her place.  She left out meeting Ramon who she felt was another drug dealer in town that Tammy may have known so she willingly left that aspect of her days off out of her retelling.  Unbeknownst to Cassandra, Tammy knew Steve, Ramon, and everything that happened and let Cassandra herself decide when to confess everything that had occurred.

Tammy turned to business immediately and told Cassandra to sit down and don’t say a word.  Paige entered the room from the back of the house with two of his lieutenants.  There was a sudden knock at the door.  Two local dealers came in that were in the past two of Tammy’s most lucrative distributers.  Things had changed.  Now they both had bumps all over their faces and arms that they had scratched into sores.  Clearly both of them had taken to doing their own Chrystal Meth in excess rather than selling it.  Tammy sat on her sofa eating directly out of a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken as she calmly said, “Where’s my money boys?”  The two dealers nervously looked at Paige and his lieutenants who had no smiles whatsoever on their faces and then back at Tammy and said, “We were robbed!”  Tammy took another bite of chicken and in a calm manner as she stared at them while they looked at her pleadingly and she finished chewing her new bite, “Robbed my ass.  Let me introduce you to ‘Rob’.  Do it Paige.”  Paige and his lieutenants jumped and immediately began to beat the two dealers and didn’t hold anything back as Cassandra sat there in awe at what she was seeing.  She had heard about what the drug people called ‘tax jobs’ but she had never personally witnessed one.  She watched and felt sad for the two dealers as Paige smiled when punching the main one over and over again in the face while the two lieutenants kicked the other one continuously in the stomach and head.  As Cassandra sat there and watched, Tammy suddenly spoke to her while the beating was still going on, “You want a piece of chicken Cassandra?”  Cassandra woke up from her shock and looked at Tammy holding a chicken leg in her direction and politely declined.
