The Eternals IV: The Big Apple

THE ETERNALS IV: THE BIG APPLE

The last we saw of Cassandra and Steve, or once upon a time referred to as Akhenaten and Nefertiti, they were on the front porch of the house in the city of rebirth.  Cassandra was hugging Steve thinking of puddles and Steve was hugging her back thinking of making it rain.  They turned to step off the porch and that’s when Cassandra saw him standing across the street and just glaring at them with pure malice.  Cassandra hadn’t recalled seeing such a thing since her full memory hadn’t returned but Steve knew exactly who and what it was…

Standing across the street maliciously glaring at them was Sinister Seth in all his diabolical glory.  Staring with his blood stained eyes and skeletal mouth that seemed to be dripping blood from a recent meal.  As Cassandra screamed, Steve held her close and told her, “Don’t worry, he won’t be a problem at all.  This is to be expected whenever we leave the city of protection.  The rebirthing is always away from the city of protection so we prepare for these occurrences.”  Cassandra said, “What occurrences!?” as they both stared at the clown and Steve held her closer.  “That Cassandra, is a diabolical servant of The Dark Overlord from the underworld who has a vendetta against us Eternals.  That creature is known as a clown.”  Cassandra stared at the hideous clown and said, “The Dark Overlord! Oh Steve!”  Cassandra couldn’t help wondering why Steve sort of giggled.  Then he said, “I told you that you will always be protected now watch.”

As Cassandra watched and almost before Steve could finish saying the word watch, The Eternal who Cassandra had come to know as Tammy swooped down from the sky like a Hawk in the knight behind Sinister Seth and seemed to pierce his entire upper torso centering on his heart with a golden spear as blood gushed from Sinister Seth’s mouth.  Cassandra heard the clown say, ‘no’ in a gruff and garbled tone as Tammy laughed and then leaned into Sinister Seth’s ear and spoke to his dying body.  Tammy whispered in his ear in her own maniacal and sinister enjoyment at slaying this particular clown, “Tell him again I said no.”  Steve himself knew what Tammy was saying because he knew of Tammy’s relationship with The Dark Lord and knew the Lord of the underworld wanted nothing but the possession of Tammy in his realm.

Tammy relished killing this particular clown and returning him to the underworld for good because even though he looked different, she knew it was him.  She felt it in her heart and knew that Sinister Seth on the end of her golden spear was none other than Ramesses the II, one of her previous husbands and a former Eternal himself.  As he slumped to the ground with the spear still in his chest, she lifted her foot and placed it on his back and then kicked him off her spear with complete detest and satisfaction.  His lifeless body burst into a cloud of luminescent dust as he perished back into the underworld from which he came.

Tammy walked over to Steve and Cassandra as Cassandra gaped at her friend and protector who seemed to fly from the sky.  Tammy said, “Don’t worry Cassandra, your full memory should return soon. As Steve told you, nothing’s going to happen to you.”  Cassandra hugged her friend, protector, and mentor and then whispered in Tammy’s ear, “I love you.”  Tammy said, “I know.”

Steve said, “Okay you two, break up the love fest. We have a flight to catch.”  The headed to the airport as Tammy told Steve, “I told you they were going to make their move after the choosing.”  Steve replied, “You were right. Good thing we staged it so you could strike like you did.”  Tammy laughed and said, “Oh please, they could have come however they wanted too. You know I have never let any Eternal be harmed during a rebirthing. I know The Dark Lord and his clown servants all too well.”  Steve smirked and with a knowing smile said, “Yes; you do!” Tammy replied, “Watch it Akhenaten.”

They arrived at the airport in the city of rebirthing and bypassed the exit to the terminal.  The proceeded to the Executive Tower to catch their private plane from the Executive terminal reserved for those who owned their own aircraft.  Cassandra stared in awe as their car pulled right up to the largest airplane she had ever seen with the name emblazoned on the side in huge red letters that said, “The Eternity”.  Steve smiled and hugged Cassandra and informed her that the tribe owned the plane and it was the only way they traveled.  He explained to Cassandra that even she herself was a billionaire a million times over since the tribe as a whole had been consolidating their wealth since even before Egypt and before the concept of money even existed.

On the plane ride, Steve informed Cassandra that they were headed to their true home in the city were all Eternals lived.  They were headed to New York.  He then explained that an Eternal had actually given the city its nickname of ‘The Big Apple’ in reference to the Garden of Eden and the original home of their first mother as told in the ancient story of Adam and Eve.  Steve also told Cassandra that The Big Apple was safe and protected from any diabolical clown or any type of interference whatsoever by The Dark Lord due to a great talisman that was built an Eternal himself in France many years ago and sent over the United States under the guise of a ‘gift’.  He explained that the talisman called The Statue of Liberty was actually sent over to establish a safe haven for all Eternals and was manufactured with specific powers of The Eternals to ward off and defend against the Dark Lord’s presence in any way at all.  The Dark Lord and his clowns or even his demons couldn’t come within five hundred miles of the great talisman which graced Liberty Island.  The Eternal who sculpted her actually sculpted her in memory of their first mother, Eve.

When they landed in New York, Steve told Cassandra that they were going to their one true home; a home they shared before in her previous life.  They were headed to ‘The Hardenbergh’.  The Hardenbergh was the oldest and most distinguished address in all of Ney York located in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.  It was designed by an Eternal who was actually a very popular architect who was involved in the establishment of New York as a worldwide mecca of culture and importance.  The building itself had become an historical landmark and was a beautiful piece of artwork for anyone to see.  The Hardenbergh which had high gables, profusion of dormers, terracotta spandrels, and balconies stood majestic before the entire world to behold as the unknown home of ‘The Eternals’.

Steve took Cassandra to their old home in The Hardenbergh and she loved their huge fourteen room apartment as soon as he opened the door.  The apartment even had hidden doors that all led to the grand hall were The Eternals held their meetings.  The hidden doors were almost unnecessary because anyone and everyone who lived in The Hardenbergh was an Eternal.  Ramon, Tammy, Stephanie and even Judy had an apartment in The Hardenbergh.

Cassandra hugged Steve in the deepest of embraces staring at the home she was starting to remember and loving the man in her arms.  As more and more memories of their lives together flooded her mind, she again thought about a lifetime of puddles.  She suddenly remembered the last time they held each other and thought of puddles and then thought of the clowns Steve spoke softly and said, “Don’t worry, remember, they can never come near the Lady de Liberte.”  He had read her mind; that was his special gift.

He continued, “In The Big Apple, it’s nothing but puddles.”

The Eternals III: Sinister Seth

THE ETERNALS III: SINISTER SETH

by

Sinister Seth was one of the most diabolical clowns of the underworld and was a special favorite of The Dark Lords crew of assassins.  The Dark Lord actually loved Sinister Seth as much as he could love at all because Sinister Seth himself had also been a thorn in the Almighty’s side.  Sinister Seth had caused the Almighty on high more problems than most humans combined and even the Almighty knew Sinister Seth very well.  Sinister Seth, like Shaitan, had no love or concern for any clown or demon in the underworld but he particularly hated other clowns.

Whenever Sinister Seth walked down the Dark Hall of Halls he would simply glare at any other clown who dared look his way.  One day in particular, the clown Prison Bird Paula accidentally fell on the floor in front of him in the Dark Hall and Sinister Seth looked down at her and then stomped out all of her teeth as she screamed, “My teeth!”  Sinister Seth didn’t crack a smile or change his expression at all as he said, “You’ve always complained about ‘em anyway, so now you don’t have to complain anymore.  Anyway, I think you look better without ‘em.”  And then Ridiculous Rodney who had been walking with Paula began to laugh his silly laugh and Sinister Seth jumped in the air and then came down upon Ridiculous Rodney’s head with all of his might and then proceeded to stomp him in his stomach until he felt Ridiculous Rodney could never laugh again.  He hated Ridiculous Rodney’s laugh just as much as most of the clowns and demons of the underworld did.  Sinister Seth calmly looked at both Prison Bird Paula and Ridiculous Rodney and felt they were two of the most pathetic clowns of the entire underworld and then he walked off.  Ridiculous Rodney got the air back in his stomach and looked over at Paula trying to scramble for all of her teeth that lay strewn about on the Dark Hall’s floor and then said, “You missed one over there girl.”  Once again Prison Bird Paula lost her mind and immediately jumped on top of Ridiculous Rodney and proceeded to beat him within an inch of his dark pathetic soul of the underworld.

Sinister Seth was only thinking of one thing as he walked off.  He was thinking that he would see The Eternals again and hoped he would see Tammy.  As much as The Dark Lord loved Tammy, Sinister Seth hated her.  She was one of his wives when he last left the immortal coil and joined the underworld of his own free will.  He felt and was proud that the Almighty above knew his name and felt him to be a thorn in his side.  He loved the anguish that he brought upon the one they called God.  Sinister Seth thought back to his time on Earth and how he had enslaved millions upon millions to do his bidding.  His days were some of the most glorious days of Egypt.  He was the true ruler and creator of the greatness of Egypt in the history of the world.  He was the king of all kings and the Pharaoh of all Pharaoh’s in his mind.  He was the one to be believed to be the brother of Moses at one time.  He was Ramesses the II, Ramesses the Great; he was Ramesses.

He looked forward to his current mission The Dark Lord had given him to capture Cassandra and bring her to the underworld.  He would relish the death of Steve who had also ruled over Egypt as Akhenaten.  Ramesses had used all his political power during his reign as Pharaoh to return Egypt to the idea of many Gods and erase the idea that Akhenaten had presented of their only being one God.  Yes, he would relish extinguishing Akhenaten’s new life as Steve.  He would stomp it out of him.  Stomping was an art form to Sinister Seth and he felt Akhenaten or Steve as he called himself now days was definitely overdue for a good stomping.  A life extinguishing stomping.

The Eternals II: Tammy The Slayer

THE ETERNALS II: TAMMY THE SLAYER

by

After finding out that Cassandra had decided to rejoin the family and had met with Steve, Tammy was pleased.  Tammy’s last time giving birth over a thousand years ago was to Cassandra so she had a special place in her heart for Cassandra who had been her daughter, sister, and even mother throughout time.  Surprisingly, Ramon had been Tammy’s husband in the lifetime that she had given birth to Cassandra.  It was Ramon and Tammy together who started delving into the dark arts and some blame them for the loss of giving birth to their own kind.  Tammy and Ramon had both grew tired of the rebirthing process and both felt that there were secrets in the dark arts to help prevent the need to rebirth.  Granted, neither Ramon nor Tammy has since left the world of mortals and neither one of them have had to rebirth in over a thousand years.

Even though Tammy and Ramon both got into acts of blood worship, the worship and consumption of blood was not necessary for the Eternals.  Everyone knew that the true reason Tammy and Ramon didn’t have to go through the rebirthing process was due to the fact that they consumed energy from unknown human empaths that they kept around them for that very purpose.  A human empath with their telepathic abilities is able to store energy that is necessary to sustain the mortal coil.  It is this energy that Tammy and her old husband Ramon learned to cultivate and consume from others, thereby extending their own current lifetimes on the planet.

Most of the Eternals felt that it was Vlad the Impaler who had created Tammy’s fascination with blood.  Although they were all true descendants of Eve, Tammy herself had also descended and had been reborn to Vlad who was himself an Eternal at one time until…  Tammy loved Vlad as her father and also in a previous lifetime, loved him as her husband.  It was his fascination with darkness that initially lured Tammy into the world of the dark arts.  Not too many Eternals had any objections to Tammy’s dark arts affiliation because they all knew and loved her as a good soul.  She was also a chief Eternal with a very large role that was important to every single member of the tribe.  Tammy was looked on as the protector of all of them in her warrior capabilities and she was known to them as ‘The Slayer’.

Whenever The Dark Lord came for any of The Eternals, Tammy was there in a moment to protect them.  She had a keen eye for The Dark Lords motives and could predetermine any attack he was going to attempt and for this he hated her and wanted her at the same time.  He wanted to contain her power as bad as he did Cassandras.

It was thousands of years ago when The Dark Lord had approached Tammy’s bed in the middle of the night…  Tammy lay there as he stood in his most human form.  She looked upon him not with fear, but with a smile.  She intrigued him deeply.  He stared at her laying in the bed as she stared at him standing above her.  She sat up in the bed revealing her unclothed upper torso and he smiled his wicked smile and still wondered why she showed no fear.  He took a step closer towards the bed in his cloven hooves and truly expected her to cower at the sound of them hitting the wooden boards of her bedroom floor and revealing his true nature.  Tammy looked down at his cloven feet and simply smirked and looked him straight in his eyes as she pulled the covers back from her entire body thereby inviting him into her bed…

The Dark Lord made love to Tammy for the entire night and when she awoke he was gone.  Tammy put the entire night behind her and consumed its glorious occurrence as she did with the rest of her unbelievable life…  She relished it for a moment and then let the whole thing go as just another fun evening.  Tammy was a special being and nothing could control, contain, or change anything about how she lived her life, she was a free soul.  Her ability to keep her soul free is what made her the perfect person to be the ‘Slayer’ as they called her.  She could protect her family without any burden or guilt affecting her path.  Tammy was in control of her destiny and for that she was loved by every single one of The Eternals.
