There are moments when I assist in my destruction

The purpose of my core

Needs to be construction

When will I realize the journey for me

Is just to become

All that I can be

It is an uphill battle

As it is for most

I need to get rid of my destructive ghost

I’m putting my foot down

Laying down the law

Saying goodbye to my clown

Saying goodbye to that flaw

When it comes to my life

When it comes to my soul

Construction, not destruction

Will be my role
