LOST EMPIRE
by
Anthonystjoseph
He saw the
Empire, it was always there
He felt it,
he touched it
He didn’t
have to stare
As a child
he knew
Every inch
he grew
His soul
deep inside
Said his was
the emperor’s ride
Destiny
filled his soul
From top to bottom
He knew it
so deeply
And cared so
little
The one
thing forgotten
Was to do it
meekly
He ranted
and raved
It’s an
empire I build
Even his
son’s, from the rants they did cave
He even told
God
You’re not
needed for this
And that’s
when God said
The Empire
you miss
His son’s
talents he squandered
Because he
wandered
Their
talents not guided
Their souls
left unsided
He told his
sons
You’re not
needed for this
And that’s
when God said
The Empire
you miss
