THE CRY OF THE PEACOCK
by

The peacock is an extremely blessed bird when it comes to beauty. It spreads its majestic tail feathers while
wearing a naturally born crown on its head and a complete tapestry of colors is
revealed. Some say a story of wonder is
told when the tail feathers of the peacock are spread. Well that story of wonder is why the peacock
is commonly referred to as the symbol of writing, the symbol of journaling, the
symbol of history.
I will never forget while as a young child in the zoo when I heard this
call of a loud distant animal; it clearly wasn’t the loud cry of a Lion, Tiger,
Bear, or even a Gorilla that I had heard in movies; it was a new cry, never heard by me before. I heard it over everything in the zoo. I heard it over the people talking, laughing,
and playing. It was loud! I heard it in words that were plain and clear
to me as I looked around and saw all the other caged animals. No one else seemed to be bothered by the cry
as they ate their cotton candy and laughed in joy and stared at the caged
animals. I was completely mesmerized by
the cry. The animals were all physical prisoners
as we all are to our own worlds and bodies.
I heard the distant cry of the unknown animal say clear words to my
brain and my soul; those words were, “let
me out!”; “leeh~me~ouwh, leeh~me~ouwh, leeh~me~ouwh”. The words, story, and ‘cry’ of the Peacock were,
“LET ME OUT!”
As you may know, most of my stories are true or based on truth! I shall now give you excerpts from my
memoirs; of which, every word, sentence, paragraph, comma, period, and
exclamation point are complete truth!
Welcome to portions of my world…
Excerpts from a memoir, coming soon!
